45 years ago, trailblazing new wave group The B-52s took the stage for the first time. Now, they will be dancing this mess around one last time (well, on this planet, anyway). Nearly half a century later the band is announcing their final tour of 15 shows across North America. For select dates, KC & the Sunshine Band and The Tubes are accompanying them for this final run.”Who knew what started as a way to have some fun and play music for our friends at house parties in Athens in 1977 would evolve into over 45 years of making music and touring the world,” co-founder Kate Pierson said.
